Black powder squirrel hunting was on last nights Mountain men. The show is full of inaccuracies when is comes to firearms, but I watch it with my boys and they don’t mind....

I love it, the scenery and the guy up in alaska, great stuff. Some of the others are a lot more just for the show but dont add a whole lot to it other than take up space.

It was one of those things they put in for effect, making bullets out of scrap? really it's not that big a deal, they should go pick up aluminum cans cash them in and go buy a box of .22lr for squirrel hunting that's the country boy way

LOL yeah it's not doable now but... that show's been it the can awhile I'd guess and any real mountain man would have had the cartridges on the shelf or the balls in the possibles bag already

i stopped watching when old tom was going some where to sell a few things and he was worried about a big bear prowling around the cabin, and let his wife shoot her bear gun at a tin can at 20yds. she missed once and hit it the second time she tried with (a 410 single shot loaded with bird shot). but then again it may be a good way to get rid of a rotten wife. eastbank.

I live near Eustace Conway. It is a total put on. There is a store (food lion) that he frequents under two miles from his place.
Buy him a hairbrush and some shampoo, willya? Maybe some soap too, he looks like you can almost smell him through the TV.
Ice Road Truckers is the one I can't stand, that show's terribly contrived. Not that most all of them aren't.....

Hugh on Ice Road Truckers couldn't drive a Prius properly. When they had him on in the Bolivia trucking show he just destroyed trucks with his stupid driving.:banghead:

That lion "chasing" guy in the Ruby Range irritates me. You can drive almost everywhere there with 4WD and what legitimate cat hunter tries to chase lions out of HIS (Ha!) territory? We all know that works.

Pato, I agree about the lion guy, I did that for 25 years and I am embarrassed for him. Hid Good dog won't go with him? Walking in he says the dogs sound funny.... I thought "they are in a hole". next scene...cave. Then, he tries to CALL em out! Wow. Good comedy though.
We gave up on cable and TV many years ago. Got tired of paying for so many channels with nothing worthwhile on them.
I recall when cable came out and people enjoyed it because there weren't any commercials since you were paying for the service. Now you pay for the service and get the commercials.

I about died laughing when useless said you had to make the round balls because they are not available.

Yes, it’s silly like the show on discovery channel with Jewels family. The show states their only heat is from a wood furnace, but they have a regular stove that the younger blond wife uses a pressure cooker on for canning food.

I always fast forward Eustace Conway segments. I just can't seem to get into this part of the show. Some of the segments of the Mountain Man show are entertaining, barely.

Marty is the real deal. He cannot go get supplies at the local store... He has a lot of my respect, just wish he would get a new snow mobile....

Have you seen the one where they are pretending to be afraid that the dog might have gotten eaten by a bear? Spoiler alert: The dog can be seen in the background.
Or how about the "mountain man" who has his own plane?
These shows don't even try anymore.
