Moving Ammunition

Car Knocker: The car has to get there somehow. Since it was against our mover's policy to move ammo, we were just gonna put all ours 'neath the seats of our car and let the car-mover move the car.

Of course, we were really friendly with our movers (big cooler full of water and Dr Pepper along with a free supply of rags dipped in cold water will get you everywhere with people who have to work outside in Tejas), and the head-honcho of our little squad of moving-guys gave my dad the ol' "wink-wink, nudge-nudge" on those big, green boxes we put in the back.

That said, moving ammo might just be against the company's policy.

The Army's moved me cross country 4 times, and each time the moving truck has been from a different company.

None of them would touch my ammo (about 3-4k last time). I didn't let them take the guns.

Would have been interesting if I got pulled over last time (at least, if Officer Friendly wanted to look around)...3-4k rounds of ammo and just over 30 guns of various types...

Some of the stuff I have I really don't wanna part with. I stocked up on Barnaul when it was available (blue box, 762 and 545), Lake city 556 and US 308Nato, plus a case or three of various +P+ defense ammo in pistol calibers.

Very expensive to replace, if even possible (545 seems very rare these days).

If I have to send via UPS, so be it..but still looking/hoping for a cheaper option.
