Missouri dropped firearm ownership licenses several years back
You have nothing to fear moving from KS to MO.
Except moving to MO in the first place!
Did you get dropped on your head when you were a baby or something??

This was a permit to ACQUIRE a handgun, not a license to own one. It was obtain from a resident's local sheriff. Those moving to our state would not, of course, have any reason to obtain this permit. Once the permit was used to buy a handgun, it was sent by the dealer to your local sheriff's office. The owner of the new gun generally did retain a copy of this permit. In thirty years of buying/trading handguns in Missouri, I only had one dealer give me a copy of the permit for my records. The permit was for handguns only, they dropped it about ten years ago. The only place you have to be concerned about is St. Louis, and there you are still legal.
