I was looking for a 9mm mp5 clone with a mock suppressor because i cant have a sbr or a suppressor in the state of Illinois.

Try Vector Arms, I believe they have something that may fit that bill. Or, Bellator Arms I believe also makes a good MP5 like clone. There is a video floating around somewhere with one running full auto and the quality looks awesome IMO but I have never seen one first hand so I don't know for sure.

Try the ATI AT-94A2. It's a true roller lock rifle (they sell a short and long barreled 'pistol as well' that are all approved by H&K and built on H&K machinery in the shop that builds 'real' MP5's in Turkey. There are changes to the gun to prevent auto-fire and to prevent use of mags greater than 10 rounds (for the carbine).
There are many video's on the web that describes the simple steps to modify the 10 round limit.
I own one and it's very nice. There's nothing like the roller lock mechanism which some other clones lack (making them a copy but not a clone in my book).

Edit: BTW I bought 2 of the 30-round HK MP5 mags (blocked to 10 rounds for CA law) and 4 or the Korean 30-round MP5-compatible mags (blocked to 10 as well). Both types are good, although the fit and finish of the HK mags are impeccable. And for the price, they should be.

ATI AT-94P, which is the pistol version, is the way I went. Accepts standard mags and takes standard stocks. You might be able to snag one on gunbroker for the old going price of ~1200 bucks, HKparts still had some in stock for ~1500; both are cheaper by several hundred vs the Vectors and other clones.

In rifle setup it's a very soft shooter, much softer than an UZI. The steel MKE mag (comes with a 30rd) works well but when locked in, with enough force, I can pull it out without hitting the release; need to hit the mag with a file to square the latch point. I bought a steel Korean mag and it locks in better, can't just pull it out, and has run just as well. I also tried a plastic MKE mag and they are horrible: thin plastic, rounds randomly pop out, bolt shaved pieces and turned the gun into a jam-o-matic.

Posted this a couple days back in the NFA section, but it still applies to Title I clones so it bears repeating:

Here's a quick "What to Look For" overview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_fkSoZcw0UQ

Basically, you've got production guns like Special Weapons, Coharie, Bobcat, Bellator, MKE, etc. They may be in need of some fine tuning. For most of those production clones, warranty support is practically null and void, so think of it as a DIY proposition. Then, you've got your custom builds which sometimes can be found in-stock at vendors like HKParts.net. You could also get a parts kit together and send it out to get built up. RCM parts is a highly recommended source for parts, whether for complete builds or for fine-tuning of production grade clones.
