Is there any law against muzzle breaks in california or is it only illegal in combination with other sinful features like detachable magazine+pistol grip?

For instance, what is the legality of this rifle in California?

I have a feeling I'm ok, just making sure.

I think I read over at Calguns.net that as long as you can prove it is a muzzle brake from the manufacturer, and they sell it as such, then you are OK.

I would search over there, and be prepared for some reading, since the CA DOJ has some strange ideas about what is/is not a flash hider or muzzle brake, and the topic has been brought up many times.

Muzzle brake - OK
Flash hider - evil and not allowed

If you have a bolt action youshouldn't any probs at all. I have a mini with a
muzzle brake on it and have had no probs. Course no one would ever
confuse a JP Enterprizes brake with a flash hider. I promise.

I think it's integrated on this particular gun. But either way, I think I'm looking more at a Howa lightning now...much more affordable.

Thanks again for the information everyone.

Muzzle breaks OK, Flash Supressors NOT ok.

Doesn't make any sense. My M1A is CA legal with a Muzzle Break as is mt Mini-14.
