Went out and fired my 1st reloads today- 9mm, 115g RN plated from X-treme, 6.0g Power Pistol and some of my own once-fired brass. They worked just as well as the factory ammo. Fired them in my new M&P 9 Shield. Had to trek 300 yards in knee-deep snow on my land to shoot. (I really wanted to shoot 'em!). Joining a local indoor/outdoor range next week. Learned alot from this forum over the last few weeks.

Wonderful that your first experience was great! Welcome to the Forum!
Tons of great folks here and a plethera of good info!!!

I started with PowerPistol and 9mm too. Did the extra noise that PowerPistol produces make you a lil nervous too?

Congratulations! I'm also a relatively new reloaded. There's a learning curve for sure, but I'm knocking out 400 rounds/session with few problems.

Welcome to the forum. Nice work. Now you can really save some money!:)

And now maybe you can help Mike Myers learn some stuff.too

Congrats and welcome aboard. I also use that bullet with a variety of powders in my Shield. Plain old Bullseye works just fine.

Welcome to this addiction called reloading! There is no cure BTW...

WELCOME........

This is exactly what I was going to say.^^^^^^

There are so many other aspects of reloading that one can get involved in, like Casting your own bullets, etc.....

Plus there is an overwhelming amount of tools and gadgets to help you with your new hobby. I'm guessing it's a hobby, could be just to try to save money or make custom ammo for YOUR gun?
I say try to save money because usually people who reload and save on factory ammo prices tend to spend more money because they shoot more now.

Have fun and be SAFE.:)

Excellent! Welcome to the madness! Shoot more--feel less guilty because cost per round is less, but you won't save money. [emoji6]

Thanks for the welcomes and all help I've received from this forum. I didn't really expect to save money by reloading, I figured I'd just be able to shoot alot more and not have to worry about availability of ammo. After yesterdays snow storm, we have about 3 & 1/2 feet of snow up on my land so I don't expect to go back there to shoot until spring. Laid down a tarp to catch brass, but had to dig most of it out of the snow. Joining a local range next week (indoor and outdoor range) however they say they sell the brass to help control costs. Loaded up another 50 rounds last night using the same load data. Scored some Bullseye and BE-86 so will trying those powders also. Now thinking about loading .38 special for my S&W model 66 and considering getting a .40. Looking at reloading as a fun hobby that goes along with shooting. Thanks again for the help.

See, you haven't been here a month yet and you are already thinking about adding another gun to the collection to reload for. ;) I found when I started reloading many moons ago it was to save money and gain accuracy in my rifles, but I just end up shooting more, buying more guns and more components. It is a never ending addiction with no cure, welcome to the jungle!!!! :D
