DJ has me convinced that while I may be forced to use these pretenders that I'll be constantly on the lookout for the Gen-You-Wine article from here on in. If I find it's OK to bring it over the border I guess I'll also be doing the occasional stocking run to stores in the Mt Vernon or Bellingham area.

Truth be told it didn't take much of an arm twisting. I may be new to this BP stuff but it's the smoke and flame show that drew me in lock, stock and barrel.

Try contacting Goex in Louisiana and asking them if there is a distributor in your area. You might find that there is a place within driving distance where you can go and buy a case of the sweet stuff. If you can't use a case of it, get together with some fellow black powder shooters and share the cost.

GOOD GRIEF! I don't know if I can get shooting grade powder through them but I just found out from the Goex website that there's a distributor in Victoria, BC up just a ferry trip over the water from me. I'm going to call them tomorrow and see if I can buy a case or so from them. They are listing themselves as blasting supplies so this may not work out.

My suggestion was more about asking a trucker who was traveling toward a Canadian supplier.

Once you go black, you don't go back. Accept no substitute. The flash, the smoke, the smell, the taste, the simplicity of cleanup. It's the real thing or nothing. If nobody sells it, you should at least be able to join a group purchase and get a sufficient supply. And ditch the caps while you're at it:

BC I felt the same way until I gave the 777 a try. Its cleaner less fouling you can shoot longer and because you back off on the loads 10 - 15% a pound lasts a little longer.
