I purchased an armalite ar-24 "tactical custom" a few weeks ago and thought I'd share my thoughts and experiences with it. It's not really a "tacticool" pistol, it only gets adjustable sights and better grip checkering, no massive controls or silly rails. I got it from a local dealer for $573 after taxes and fees. The pistol is produced by Sarsilmaz Silah Sanayi who have been cranking out firearms in Turkey for 131 years. The build quality is very impressive, especially when compared to the cz-75s that I've owned and to which these are compared to. The general online consensus is to just get the original design CZ because who wants a more expensive clone? With this path of thought every 1911 owner would only have the colt original. It's built like a tank, forged frame, slide, and barrel which all fit very nicely. Fully loaded it comes to around four pounds, so if you're a weight weenie, stick to the tupperware. It's very comfortable in my cb supertuck (cz75 model). The components are well crafted and show minimal tooling marks, the cz's were fairly rough inside. I haven't polished the action yet, but I'm sure it will be a real treat afterwards. The trigger pull is a little heavy but fairly smooth from the beginning, after around 500 rounds and a few hundred dry fires with snap caps, it's lightening up and getting smoother and has a very nice break in SA. Accuracy is reasonable, usually 5-6" at 25 yards, very slow fire in weaver with an occasional flier, but this isn't a target gun and may be a bit tighter with a better shooter. I've experienced no malfunctions but there were a few fte's while my girlfriend was shooting it, I'm still working on her grip  . The only downfall is that there is NO aftermarket support for this weapon. I'm not looking for pretty grips and ported/threaded barrels, the only thing I would change is to swap in a tritium front sight. I've contacted Armalite about it, but their lead tech Mr. Rooker just said that they attempted to find someone to make them, but were unsuccessful in doing so and there was nothing that could be done and never responded after that. His correspondence worries me about support if anything breaks, I'd hate to have to ship it to Turkey to get it repaired. I tried contacting Sarsilmaz by email a few days ago and am hoping someone there speaks english well enough to help. The front dovetail appears to be really close to that of the 1911, so I'll be checking on that as soon as I locate a spare sight. The only other option I'm finding is to have the sight drilled and a tritium vial from a donor sight inserted by a smith. All in all, I'm very pleased with it. If you're in the market for a nice, well built 9, give it a look.

Thanks. I've been reading from here for quite a while, thought I'd actually post something for a change.

Hello Virus86 and welcome to the forum.
From all I have read and heard, the AR24 is a fine pistol.
Still waiting to get mine.

Thanks for the opinion. I've been considering that one for a while. Every once in awhile I get in a Hi power/Cz/AR 24 mood. Please update if anything changes.......
