Not it is singular not plural. I prefer the Smith 19s or 66 which is simply the SS version of the 19 for serious social carry. A bit heavy, but light enough for a 357 with heavy loads for follow up shots. I did up these guns for my personal use. The 6" has a Mountan Rose Leather Co flap, hand tooled holster for tractor carry.

First is a 6" M-19 five T gun with Ivorex grips, suptingly confortable to shoot with heavy loads and is very accurate.

Next is a 4" M-66 that is a custom carry revolver based on a beat up original 3" gun. Leather is an Andrews cross draw. They Mt Rose do nice work.

I guess my favorite 357 Mag must be my Ruger Blackhawk with 7-1/2" barrel, since I seem to shoot it more than my other 357's. It's big and heavy and cumbersome to carry around, but it shoots great and pretty much handles any load I put through it. Top gun in this photo.

My favorite “all steel .357 Magnum” is hard to choose between my S&W Model 19-4 and my Ruger GP100. I’ll go with the model 19…today. It’s prettier. 😍

My very favorite .357 is not all steel. It’s part steel, part Scandium.

These “favorite” or “pick one” threads are so difficult sometimes. It’s like asking someone “Which one is your favorite kid” or “What’s your favorite (whatever)” (Heck, I can’t even pick a flippin’ word). I need coffee…

Either my coffee hasn’t kicked in or I just don’t know. What is a “five T gun”?

Guessing:

Target trigger
Target hammer
Target sights
Target grips
Target length barrel

...which is a bit confusing because I wouldn't normally call the Ivorex magna grips "target", so I must be missing something too.

But I agree, it's a gun to be proud of!

This particular:

Ruger Security Six.jpg

Hope to receive it in foreseeable future. Coming from Germany, so it will take some time.

Why Security Six? I had in 357 Magnum; S&W 686, 6", Ruger Bisley, 7.5" and S&W 27, 5". I was shooting Python and S&W 66, both 6". I found that, for a caliber, first 4 are too heavy. I liked S&W 66, but that potential problem with cracked barrel at the forcing cone, was turn off. At the first moment I didn't think about Security Six, but after a considerable search, I realized that it has all I want; superb durability and strength, and all that with 35 oz for 6" model. It took me quite time to locate this model with scalloped recoil shield, but patience paid off. Seller described it as "mechanically perfect, shiny bore", and considering fair statements from egun.de my fellow shooter experienced so far, I "jumped at the chance". I keep my fingers crossed...

For shooting....range work etc....the model 27 below with its 5" bbl. Accurate with any load, loves LSWC's at 1200 fps and doesn't beat the s**t out of my hands doing it. Second down from the top.

For woods carry and shooting with more moderate ammunition, the model 66 below...Miculek grips make it a DA dream. Third down for you noobies.

For straight street carry, the model 60 (last below); re-stocked with Hogue Mono's, it's almost doable with full house loads...but the old FBI prescription is a lot easier for 2nd & 3rd shots. (158's at ~900-950 fps).

2nd Pic: That's my evil looking #2 son with his '66' tucked into one of my KY woods stomper's. A personal version of the old Tom Threepersons open top. He's one tough former Marine MP...."Halt", means right there and no foolin'. Nice to have him and his brood living on the adjacent farm.

For a hard choice favorite...the M-66 with Miculek's grips..........Best regards, Rod
