Your first one is not likely to be your last one. Just get one and get on with it, everybody figures out what they like/don't like as they go along anyway. You won't know what you really like till you live with the gun a while.
ARs are modular, you can change anything you don't like for something you do like, and what you like this year will get replaced by something you like even better next year anyway. Get used to the idea now and save yourself trouble.
Spend the time shooting, not obsessing over details. It's a lot more fun!
