23 years ago I got my first handgun. My 4th gun over all. Phoenix hp22a. Still have it. Still shoot it. Shoot it’s replacement a lot more because the original is wore slap out. My kids shoot them as well and enjoy. I hope you have a similar story 23 years from now.

Good purchase, the M&P 9mm is an excellent choice.
If you have an opportunity to sign up and receive training with your new gun from a reputable Instructor in your area I highly recommend it. Good, safe gun handling/shooting habits are easy to learn. Bad ones are potentially dangerous and are often tough to break.
