Finally got around to taking a picture of all the Mosin rifles I have left. Amazing how these buggers accumulate over the years.... Just thought I'd share, and feel free to share your own...

IMG_2498.jpg

Counterclockwise, from the top is ...
- 1943 Izhevsk Sniper 91/30
- 1937 Tula ex-sniper (marked) 91/30
- 1928 Tula 91/30
- four more 91/30s form 1938, 1930, 1941, and 1943
- a 1942 Finn SA "B"

- A Mosin Dragoon, and six Mosin 1891s, ranging in date form 1892 to 1942 (Finn B Barrel), including a NE Westinghouse, Sestroesk, and Peter the Great arsenals.

- Three Finn M39s, plus a .22 Polish trainer

- Five M44s, including two Russian (both 1944), plus Polish, Hungarian and a Chinese Type 53 (with Vietnamese NVA markings).

There's a collection to be proud of. Mine is not quite so large as that but it's getting there.

I've only got the one. Once I start working on these stocks, I'll probably have one for each stock, lol! Well, maybe one custom rifle per stock, haha, but I do have to keep it balanced and get just as many, if not more, factory rifles.

Excellent collection.

You're missing a Czech 91/38 and a number of Finns, though ;-)

You absolutely must have an M28 or M28/30.

WOW! Nice collection.
I only have two, both from Izhevsk:
1944 M44
1943 M91/30

Shot the M44 yesterday, still got purple marks on my shoulder from it. I need to buy a thicker coat or a recoil pad.

Comrade, when you relocated reeducation center because too many military rifles, please I nice one can have?

Cosmo - agreed! I yearn for a M27, M28 and M28/30 ... but since getting married and "acquiring" kids, I no longer have funds for acquiring my toys.

Have never seen a Czech 91/38 in these parts.

Another holy grail item would be a Polish marked mosin 91 from the interwar period, as well as an East German marked mosin.

I knew that Mosins got lonely and love company, but honestly, that is one of the most impressive things I've ever seen. So, how much for one of your original M1891's?

That be easy ammo logistics too. 7.62 x 54 R is plentiful and always at a good price nowadays.

Very impressive, wojownik. My brother and I owned a nice ex-dragoon that I sadly had to leave behind when I moved, but I just got my first - 1942 91/30. Now I'm just waiting on my giant box of ammo and shoulder pad to get here so I can have some real fun.

I have filled out my C&R and now thanks to you have put it back in the file without sending..:D

I honestly haven't sent off for it for this reason though.

Wow Im jealous of your collection. I love these guns, i only have 3 91/30s and an m44.

Here's my collection... A 1927 Tula Dragoon Conversion, a 1941 Izzy M-38, and a 1944 Izzy M-44. I wish I had about a dozen more!

I as well only have two, neither are one bit rare and Bubba got his grubby hands on the nicer Finn before I got bought it. Really though that's a nice collection and if Mosin prices would drop around here I'd be buying even more. Some people try selling them $175 a piece for the average mosin!
