I somehow have managed to avoid .30-06s, but I've got plenty of stuff in that niche. And FederalFarmer, there is no overlap in those guns. In fact I don't consider guns to have overlap unless you have an exact copy (caliber, model, etc). All you have to do to avoid redundancy is to put a different scope on what if it bothers you or the significant other.

Other stuff in that niche isn't good enough. You need to go out right now and get something in .30-06. :D

I guess I'm an addict too...

Only guns in my house growing up was an old Western Auto Supply .22 single shot and a H&R Pardner 20 guage. Dad kept these in his closet, and let me shoot the .22 sometimes from the back porch.

My Grandpa introduced me to hunting at a young age. It took me several years to get my first deer too, so don't feel bad about that. He has a small variety of 7 or 8 rifles and a pistol or two. I learned to identify them by their looks at a young age. My favorite was his Spanish Mauser in 308, my brother claimed his 30-30.

I eventually begged dad into buying me a .270 for deer season. A season or two went by and I had not taken anything with it. So around the age of 12, he had bought me a pump Mossberg .410 for squirrels. One trip to Wally World he bought me a Winchester Model 70 7mm Rem Mag, for no apparent reason. I took my first deer with that rifle later that year.

Since then it's been all down hill. I'm up to 4 pistols, 3 shotguns, a muzzle loader, 3 rimfires, and 4 more long guns.

I'm broke....

I'm only 20, but would like to have a gun for every year of my age. Guess I'll have to settle for now, hence the money situation.

A few pics of my toys :D

And what they are good for

Don't worry about your illness, most of us hear have it too. We'll suffer together, and hopefully, reach our peak of happiness and stop buying, talking, and learning about these evil thunder poles.... As soon as buffaloes sprout wings or the bitter cold claims Lucifer himself. :D

There is not such a thing as a gun addiction. I have over 150 and growing cause I want to and I can. We can own guns, at least my part of the USA.
A 1917 Eddystoe rifle next week enters my collection.

Does anyone know what gun rehab is like? Guess during weekends on your outings, they only let you go bow hunting. :(
