So as some of you know I just picked up two Hi Powers in as many days, each one for $399!

If you want to read about my first one you can visit this link:

I thought I'd post a new thread for my other one, so here it is.

The numbers on the frame and slide are matching but the barrel doesn't. The frame reades 1937** and the barrel reads 1878** so they are close at the very least. Its has Nazi markings on the frame, slide and barrel (kinda creepy) and as you can see there is just a tiny bit of pitting under the slide release and a small chip in the corner of the wood.

Anyway I figured for the price I couldn't let this one slip through my hands. J&G put it in the case the same day I picked it up, so I think I lucked out. I broke a few employee hearts in the process of buying it. One of the guys that works there requested that if I ever sell it, that I sell it to him....I told him not to hold his breath:D

Anyway here are some pics and please if you know anything about these fill me in, I'm by no means a HP expert.

I hope you know that I hate your guts.

If you want, I can give you $401.00 and then you'll have made a profit and I'll take what I said back.

You did real good. One word of caution. The Belgians who built these for the Germans did so under duress. There are rumors of attempts at sabotage and sometimes the guns that left the factory for the Germans were not properly heat treated. Not a huge issue with the FN 1922 in .32 auto...but it is an issue with the 9mm Parabellum. I would shoot them sparingly if at all as nice as they are. If you intend to shoot them I would have a gunsmith check them first.

Range Report

Well I took my old model Hi Power out to the range today and man did I have a good time! I had one failure to feed on about the fourth round, but after that I had 100 flawless rounds. The gun shoots great and I was really impressed how accurate it was for such an old gun with such basic sights.

I could have shot this thing all day, but I only had an hour to spare to enjoy it. I rarely ever save my targets but I saved this one so I could post it on here. This was 50-60 rounds at 10 yards.

I found my other HP the (custom one) to be much more accurate and the first time I took that out my target looked a little better than this at 10 yards and at 15 it looked more like the target you see here. But that's not surprising considering the added features, better trigger and better sights that it has. This HP is about as basic as they come
