Well, I jumped in for new Rosewood grips for my new 50th 44 and new Single Six, and I must say I am well satisfied. All my other blued guns wear ivory (okay fake ivory), but I like these too. The color difference in the picture is much more than is apparent to the eye. Fit is perfect. I just can't warm up to plastic, or in fact all black guns, although the 22's grips did feel real good.

Grips

Virginian: Sir; they look nice. I need a couple 3 sets and IF ONLY I could get the color of the top one? Looks nice. Thanks for rubbin it in:D

I was disappointed with the grips for my new vaquero I wasn't expecting plastic. Ruger really needs to be more specific. Check out cowboyneeds.com they are awesome. They have grips in 8 different types of wood all for 55.00 each. I just got my bocote grips this week.

The rosewood grips look great on both guns, and you're right; black plastic grips on a blued SA revolver just don't do it justice.

Bannockburn-I ordered the same grips from ruger only they were checkered the only problem is they aren't rosewood they are plastic and it looks like the OP's are the same material. Mine look decent on my vaquero but I was disappointed with ruger for not specifying this on their website.

If you order from the accessories section, they have pictures. If you ordered from the spare parts list and did not get what you want, I would call Ruger. They will let you return what you bought for full credit as long as the packaging is intact, and if you talk to someone the odds of getting exactly what you want are dramatically increased. It don't cost much to send grips back, either.
