anyway, so if you don't mind me asking Codger, what you paid for it?(Didn't know how to post message in reply)
Ravot, don't mind you asking at all. I bought it through Guns America and probably paid too much.....$598. I had forgotten about Buds since I had checked them numerous times for other items back during the shortage and they were always out of stock, on backorder, etc. I understand they have them at a better price now and are in stock.
Thanks everyone for your positive comments. I went to an indoor range today and ran 200 rounds through it. I had zero misfires, 1 FTF and 4 FTE's. Most of them happened during the first 100 rounds so I think everything will level out in another 100 rounds or so. My biggest complaint is that the slide fails to lock open on last round. Talked with the owner of the range and he said it was either limp wristing, lack of proper lube or the ammo wasn't powerful enough (Using Wally World Federal ammo). I honestly think that it's a limp wrist problem. Can't wait to get back on the range and see if I can't stiffen up my ole 72 year old wrists!! Arthritis controls that to a degree believe it or not!!!! By the way, I plan to live to be 110, go to the range and waste 250 rounds of powder and lead, then just fade away.....
Wow, didn't mean to make such a long post but Ravot, I have a CZ75B and absolutely love it also. They are one sweet hunk of pretty steel.......but I love the 1911 design.....If I had to get rid of one of them, it would be a hard decision to makebut I'd probably stay with the '11.
