My new Turkish Canik Tp9sa

Just picked up an SA a couple days ago and shot it side by side with my V2s. Really like it, but like the trigger a little bit better on the V2s. The V2s have been seen more range time though so I'll have to see if the SA trigger smooths out once it's broken in. 250 rounds through it so far without issue.

but... why wouldn't you just run it back into a condition 4 check? dump the mag, lock the slide back, check the chamber, release the slide, absolutely no way for a round to still be in it at that point. anyone attempting to disassemble a handgun that has any possibility of still having a round down the pipe is highly irresponsible in my opinion, even if the firing pin has been decocked.

that goes back to that age-old discussion about what the safest way to drop a hammer with a live round in the chamberafter carrying cocked and locked is Some people say they use one hand other people put a finger from their other hand in between the hammer and the firing pin while lowering the hammer. The funny thing is that no one ever mentions what I do. I drop the magazine then rack the slide clearing the chamber, then I drop the hammer and add the loose shell back into the magazine and slide it home , then'm ready to go

Ha ha, IMO even though they call it a decocker it's really not because the only time you need to push it is before you break it down for cleaning. Glock would actually be better off if they had this button because in order to safety check them you need to pull the trigger, that is a big No-No. if you want to break this down for cleaning and you can't remember if there's a round in it or not simply push the button to disable the trigger then pull down on the breakdown levers and Slide the slide off. it's just that simple.

This the gun the Turk used to kill the Russian ambassador? I read that on another board.

Personally, if I buy a Canik, it 'll be a CZ-75 clone. I like the Czech original a lot. Don't like striker-fired pistols.

Add my name to the long list of those who think a decocker on a striker fired pistol is a dumb idea.

And what idiot pulls the trigger on a Glock without checking first?
