My New Winchester Garand....What a stock !!!

I recently picked up this Winchester Garand off Gunbroker.com. When I received it the stock blew me away...........:D.........The color is amazing. What do you think ???

The bolt, receiver, most of the trigger group is Winchester. Barrel is SA 1966 replacement and op rod is SA. Yep............Copper Hill in Floyd County !!! My plan is to salivate for now.............:rolleyes:

Nice rifle !! The color on the stock looks almost exactly the same as some AK stocks I've refinished using Minwax Sedona Red.
 
That's not a bad price, FMJMIKE. I had about $850 in mine with just the receiver, bolt, trigger housing, trigger guard, and front sight being WRA. Now, I've easily got twice that in it with the addition of many more WRA parts.

Your serial # indicates it was made in September of 1943. Interestingly, your serial # falls within a series of 30,000 serial #'s where both Springfield and Winchester made rifles for. So, somewhere there is a Springfield Garand with the same serial # as your Winchester.
