Measured the Winchester sight base. Hole spacing still won't work for that 2.1 inch you have.
You might be able to scoot by with a Parts Unknown/Red River sight, as the front hole on those bases are slotted and give a lot of leeway on the hole spacing.

Thanks for going to the trouble. I talked with some young guy at BACO Friday. He said the bases were the same as the 1885. Not so. Also said Kelly is making sights to fit it and they should be in, in a couple off weeks. Suggested I call Lyman to get the exact measurements. Will call MVA in the morning, but have sent a pencil rubbing to Lee Shavers. He said it would be no problem for him to modify or make a base.

You can also try contacting Kermit Hoke, he makes great tang sites and could probably custom-make a base for your rifle. I have a Hoke mid-range on my Shiloh 1874, along with a Steve Baldwin front site, and I love this set up.

Lee Shaver should have all the data needed on that rifle to make the sight. He is/was the pedersoli warranty repair guy.
I'm wondering if they changed the angle of the tang as well. If they did that, then it'll take more than just hole spacings to get the sight to stand up straight.
