ship it back to Taurus - they have lifetime warranty, maybe if its unrepairable they will send you a brand new gun. Otherwise they will fix your gun and replace whatever is broken for free.

Ohh, I didn't know the XD had no 45 subcompact. I just assumed they made one.
hmmm.....

Scratch that one from the list..

Shooter, I think that's why my eye was drawn to the Super Match. It is SAO.

But again it is much larger than my 1911s

No need for the tail or extra weight nor DA/SA if..

...

For only 30.4 oz w/mag, SAO, no beaver tail (not needed, having a full size) and shot others Carry models, you have the best of all, smaller, SAO, lighter, ccw options and less worry about any hang-ups on a protruding beaver tail, not needed IMHO.

Plus those "very nice" looking Sig wood grips make for a very thick grip which may, or may not, be a good thing, depending on ones hands.

OMMV,

Ls, are these are locked and cocked mode of carry with a thumb safety?

The only Sigs, I've handled are DA/SA with a decocker and no safety lever. Except for my girlfriend's Mosquito with a slide mounted safety.

I am just familar with a thumb safety on SA pistols. It has nothing to do with an accidental discharge or being nervous. I just prefer SA pistols because of the lighter trigger pull and shorter reset. That's why I like 1911s and also why if I purchased a Sig it would be a SAO model and not a DA/SA model.

P.S. I re-read the site description of the P220 Carry SAO it has an ambidextrous thumb safety.

If the firing pin gets stuck in the extended position (due to dirt, mechanical defect, hardened grease, uncleaned powder residues, insect eggs, etc in the mechanism) on ANY semi-auto, it will do that.
Not with a Colt-Browning tilt barrel controlled feed design. IF the firing pin protrudes beyond the breechface, the gun will come to a screechin' halt.

So what's the deal with the G18 and all the other modified GLOCK full autos? Browning tilt barrel and full auto achieved with what amounts to a selectably stuck firing pin.
