i cant believe he fired a shotgun like that. i'm hardly even a safety nazi and i wouldnt do that.

that gun is so cool i'm having trouble processing it. get back to me later.

Sorry

but I can't stand to watch that show. The amount of times that they talk about "no guns are safe" "don't try this at home" and the times I've caught them blatently falsifying information deter me from the show (aka it's illegal to own tracers. 50 cals aren't for civilian use, etc).

Just had to put that in as more and more people like the show and don't notice the underlying anti comments..

was it really necessary to put that many rounds in to the barrel?

#ELL YES!!!! AWESOME EPISODE! :what: looked like they had a lot of fun with the gun too and helps show people that those evil things that shoot bullets can be FUN

Lighten up. Of course they're going to tell everyone not to try any of this at home, so some idiot doesn't get himself killed, and said idiot's family sues the Mythbusters.

And, remember, they're in San Francisco California. So, .50s are illegal there, and tracers might be too for all I know.

My friend I've been watching the show since day one when it first aired and I've seen every episode since. I don't recall them ever saying "no guns are safe" or anything anti that I can honestly remember. They enjoy shooting guns, they have fun doing it and they don't strike me in the least as being anti in any way. I respect that the treat guns with caution and advise people not to try what they do on the show.

BTW they also didn't say tracer rounds are illegal, Jamie said "aren't tracer rounds illegal in California" I'm not expert on CA law but I think he's right.

Tracers are a felony in Ca. For EACH ROUND. Any unregistered .50BMG rifles are also illegal in non-military/LEO hands in CA. Give them the benefit of the doubt. For San Francisco/Hollywood types, they're about as pro-gun as you are going to get. The disclaimers are so they don't get sued, as someone has already mentioned. They aren't gunnies, obviously, but it could be a LOT worse.

I quite agree. They're not exactly experts, but they approach handling and enthusiasm in a positive way. They do (NON-SCIENTIFIC) tests for what guns will really do, they don't rant or blather about how evil they are. The truth is, I repeatedly find myself surprised at how far they go with guns, being a bay area based outfit.

I want to make a montage of their gunt tests.

I think that Jamie designed the minigun mount for the vehicle.

Think:

He does a lot of one-off custom mechanical/electrical/hydraulic stuff.

That mount totally looks like something he would build.

He called in "a big favor" to shoot the gun on camera.

I think Jamie did some consulting work... :D

I think you're reading a little too much into their comments. Jamie and Adam love guns. They'll tell you their favorite episodes are the ones where they get to play with guns. I suspect their comments are mostly for liability purposes to protect themselves from lawsuits when people get stupid and try to repeat what they saw on TV.

So, Is this the SUV that the Soccer-Mommies are going to use when they start blazing away at each other over that parking space in the Target parking lot?

Where would they have room for the Kiddies and how would you carry it concealed in your purse??:scrutiny:

It seems to me that they have a lot of fun doing the gun shows. I dont think they are anti's. While it would be fun to shoot one of those, I would hate to feed it out of my pocket.
