Does anyone use a North American .22 mini revolver as a primary concealed carry personal defense weapon ?

Nobody in their right mind, in my humble opinion. I own one, and occasionally carry it, but not as primary.

I carry one as a last ditch back up. Pretend its an ice pick with 5 tries in it. I couldn't carry it as a primary.

Even in shorts & no shirt at the beach I had a bulldog in a bellyband slung low, so no, no primary carry with the NAA. 2nd or 3rd gun sometimes.

Kewl gun though. Suprisingly accurate until the third or fourth cylinderful at the range.

No way would I carry a NAA .22 mini as a primary or a secondary or even a tertiary carry gun.

I owned a NAA .22 magnum and sold it shortly after aquiring it.

I could not, off a rest, make that thing print on an extra large pizza box from 15 feet. It was awkward to load, and tended to get lost in a pocket.

So, it would be a single-action revolver, in a pitiful self-defense caliber, that would have to be used at targets only inside of 15 feet.

I think I would resort to either my Kershaw knife, or a fist before I would ever try to dig a .22 magnum NAA mini out of my pocket.

Even the magnum version in the NAA wouldn't have anywhere enough barrel length to get the benefit of the extra velocity.

naa .22 mag

I have one and can hit a beverage bottle or can at 10ft consistantly. It's not a target pistol. I wouldn't recommend it for a primary. I have added the larger rubber grips and a holster from NAA and it's very concealable.

The tiny mini-revolvers are unsuitable primary weapons. You may well be better off with a knife, as it would surely be almost impossible to hit anything beyond contact distance with them. The slightly larger Black Widow model might make some sense, due to its larger overall size, more substantial (a relative term) grip, small yet visible sights and .22 Magnum chambering, but even then, only as a last-ditch backup.

I own one, and have carried it many times.
I seldom actually carry my "primary" CCW.
I am just lazy. It is too easy to just drop something in the pocket. Normally I carry a J-Frame in a pocket holster, but I have been known to put the NAA revolver in my pocket. I personally think it is much better than a knife or nothing.

ALWAYS

IME no one cares to be shot with any gun.

Of course, I live someplace relatively 'safe'.

It is always with me, but I prefer to add something larger when able.

That said, mine comes out in 2 seconds and hits the 'A-zone' at up to 15ft.

And yes, mentally I consider my 'mini' as a contact weapon (eye, throat, neck, armpit, etc.; know what I mean?).
