Just saw this on another forum, to all the NAA Mini fans, a new model is coming out...:D
"THE EARL"

Check it out!

My favorite is still the "PUG", shoots great for its size, "THE EARL" sure looks interesting.

As an 1858 Remmie fan who sometimes doesn't shoot one for a while because it's a PITA to clean, the Earl looks like a fun little toy to me.

I like my regular Mini, within its obvious limits.:)

When the NAA mini gets to big for pocket carry, they loose some of there worth to me, if not all. orchidhunter

I could really go for one of those. It looks like just the thing for .22 percussion cap only loads and a backyard shooting gallery.

if its priced right, I might hafta have one, under $200 and I think the Ruger Bearcat I been thinking about will hafta wait

I LOVE IT! Always kinda wanted a NAA revolver, but I don't like the super short barrel. This one is perfect! :D

Hmm, think I like the smaller version better, but I always try to get the smallest of anything anyways. :D

I have a question about these mini-revolvers. How are they shot? I'm guessing that it is SA only. In which for it to be shot, it must first be cocked.

Interesting little weapons though, what is their primary use? Last resort self-defense, or what? I guess one of these little pop guns would be better than nothing at all, and since they are so dang small, they can be carried in anything, anywhere.

Yep, SA only. As to the use, they're mainly just novelties, or tiny backup guns. 5 shots of .22 Mag out of a 4" would be close to .38 special in muzzle energy I think.

Thats cool but if they are gonna do a faux loading lever then why not make it an open top? Or why not just make a cap & ball model and have that loading lever actually do something?

I like it but I'll stay with my single-six, I'd be interested if they make it into a cap & ball model though.

It's clearly based off of a Remington revolver, they always had top straps. I do think the fake lever is kinda lame though. They should do a cap and ball with that, since they do with the other mini revolver.

Edit: the loading lever does have a purpose though, it holds in the cylinder pin for changing 22LR/22Mag cylinders.

Some states do not allow cap and ball weapons.
ALL states allow cap and ball "weapons" and most don't even consider them firearms under the law. As far as the ATF is concerned, a cap and ball revolver is not considered a firearm.

I'll hafta dig for it when i get a minute, but to my knowledge, RI classifies cap and ball as AOW's which are now allowed. I'll see if I can find the legal phrasing, but I was told no by my FFL not toolong ago.

RI has no authority to classify them as AOWs, that's for the ATF to decide and them only. The ATF has desided that cap and ball revolvers are not firearms. They are 150% legal in every state. That's why you can buy them mail order over the internet.

Well they make/made a ball and cap mini I am thinking, so why not available on the Earl as well.

I do like the looks of the Earl though with that octagon barrel...daddy needs.

I really don't understand why they won't make a .32 ACP with a saw-handle grip.

I'd been thinkin' mini master, but now I'm not sure. :D I like it, sorta in Bearcat territory, a little lighter and smaller. Like that holster, too. Without an adjustable sight, not sure if the LR cylinder on the conversion is worth it. I have other .22s as well as my current mini-revolver.
