I'd like to see someone come up with a belt fed revolver. I dont think it would be too hard to do.

but +1 on the single stack .45 Glock

My Apologies If This Is A Repeat

Why doesn't Kimber, Springfield, Taurus, and all the rest make Colt 1903's and 1908's? I'd love to have one of each.

Woody

Yelling "FIRE!" in a crowded theater should only result in a profusion of bullet holes in the screen where the villain last appeared! B.E.Wood

Replacement wood stocks for ugly guns. I've got a Marlin tube fed .22 that is an absolute tackdriver. But it has an ugly black plastic stock. I'd pay $100 for a nice wood one.

Have you checked the Marlin Store? The grey laminateds are kind of OK.

2. Southpaw 1911 production model (NOT that weird Dlask 11P1--I'm just too much of a traditionalist...)

You mean like this one? Ambi safety and reversible mag release

1911SS4.jpg

THIS STAINLESS STEEL VERSION OF OUR HOT, NEW MODEL 1911 COMES WITH A VERY AFFORDABLE PRICE. TAURUS 1911'S ARE HOT-RODDED WITH MANY CUSTOM FEATURES SUCH AS A POLISHED FEED RAMP, LOWERED EJECTION PORT, AMBIDEXTROUS SAFETY, A BEAVERTAIL MEMORY PAD GRIP SAFETY, CUSTOM GRIP PANELS, VENTILATED TRIGGER AND HEINIES' STRAIGHT EIGHT 2-DOT SIGHTS.

A Quiet Gun!

A handgun that is legal to own, powerful, accurate to at least 25 yards, ordinary sized without a big can sticking off the end, that can be shot indoors without damaging your hearing. I'd pay a lot for that.

A matching rifle would be nice too. :D

LaserMax without the laser

Take the concept of the Lasermax and just apply it to a high-brightness LED light. Of course, also drop the price accordingly so I'd consider one for my 1911.

I've got other lights for handheld use, but this would allow enough light for close-in target ID without interfering with a normal holster.

No, boardmate, I mean one that spits the brass out the left-hand side, like the Falcon Portsider shown at http://www.wapahani.com/armaments5.html . Better still would be one that has the ejection, slidestop and mag-release all on one side and the thumb-safety on the other. You can see some concept diagrams I've PhotoChopped from original blueprints at http://s94.photobucket.com/albums/l119/Diamondback6/1911/ . All the ambi-controls in the world only do so much good if you've still got the visual distraction of shiny brass flying across your field of view...

KD5NRH, a big +1 on that. A green-beam LaserMax would be nice too...

FN/Browning High Power in .45 GAP.

What White Horseradish said: A new carbine in 7.62 Tokarev. [and] Would be real spiffy if it took PPSh mags. .... And one in .22 RF magnum; didn't Erma or Iver Johnson make them at one time? Or were those .22 LR?

What RealGun said: Clothing with integral holsters - sort of like the old C-1 aircrew vests. Coat, Jacket and vest styles; for concealed and open carry.

I've always wished somebody would sell sabots for handloaders. I'd llike to shoot rifle bullets out of my 44mag pistol. I can make my own but it sure would be easier to just buy them.

No one I know of makes shirts, coats and vests specifically for concealed carry.

M1 Carbine in .22mag

marlin used to make them, I cannot remember what the model number is, but it was specifically designed to look like a m1 carbine, to appeal to the vets, and it looked nearly identical...except it was tube fed, but otherwise, very similar
They also made a model that was magazine fed. It was the 989M2, and was my first gun (still have it, of course!). It came with a 7 round mag, and I was able to purchase higher capacity mags aftermarket. Marlin refered to the magazine interchangably as a "clip" and a "clip Magazine" in the manual.

+1, I started a thread about this not too long ago..

+2 7.62x25 doublestack
Also, Webley-type break-barrel revolver with replaceable barrel/cylinder arrangements.
Nagant revolver with integral silencer and moonclip loading.

Once again, I have to say that I'd like an 8-gauge top-loading pump-action shotgun, with a Surefire foregrip and tritium sights.

That, and this:
Usa-50

Drop-in Left Handed bolts for milsurps such as M44's, Enfields, Mausers and 1903's.... complete ambidexterous safety package included, if applicable. Of course, it will never happen :(

Eh... maybe I'm missing something here, but how would one make a drop-in left-handed bolt for something with a bolt cutout on only one side of the receiver?

Have a bolt handle that goes down first and then does an upward 180º and crosses over the top to the other side?

Ok, here goes.

I'd like to see a Henry rifle reproduction in .44 Spl. I'd like to see a Browning High Power in 357 Sig. I'd like to see an alloy framed S&W K-frame like the model 12 but with model 19/66 adjustable sights, in 357 Mag.(3 inch round butt please!)

I'd like to see a return to tang mounted safeties in bolt guns, a good, durable finish that looks blued but doesn't rust, and a winchester '92 replica done right. (and in 44 Spl.)

I'd like to see Kel-Tec or somebody make lightweight semiautomatic carbines in 10MM and 357 Sig. And Bianchi make speed-strips in 44 Spl. And bring back the Nyclad .38+P round!

While they're were at it, they could also make a Colt Agent with an integral hammer shroud, an alloy framed Thompson semiauto that weighed less than seven pounds, and I'd like to see that FN P90 horizontal type magazine adapted to many more weapons. Finally, I'd like to see a bolt rifle that could have a normal scope and still load from stripper clips, perhaps sideways like a Krag?

That's my two cents.:D

More safeties

Quote:

I wish Glock offered an option for an external safety. They have sold guns like that in foreign markets, why not give American consumers an option?

That's because, even if it was offered as an "option", the initial controversy surrounding Glocks that still boils at a low simmer over their safe-action trigger, (IMO "idiots" blaming the gun for their ND's, I'm in Glock's corner) would be viewed by some as an admission that Glock's original design was somehow "faulty", and they'll never do it in the U.S. market.

They could market it as a special purpose "criminal misuse" safety device - like retention holsters. An extra safety, so anyone who grabs the gun can't just pull the trigger & get a "bang!" It could even be user-configurable, so only the regular user would know how to work it quickly (push?, pull? up? down? etc.) LEO's, and parents with small kids, might like that a lot.

I think they meant STYLISH clothing. Which I've not seen from anyone.

The sig stuff, like all others, either looks like police semi-on/off duty clothing, or stuff suitable only for wearing at a cowboy-action shoot in Nevada or a construction site.

Nothing I've ever seen keeps up with current fashion trends.
