When I bought this set at auction, I had only taken a quick glance at them. I have always had a soft spot for cap & ball pistols and I thought the price was fair for a couple of roll stamped revolvers with case. It wasn't until later I realized I had something more. The first thing I noticed was they were hand engraved. I was familiar with Navy Arms, being a member of SASS, but It was odd that they did not have the usual Italian proof marks and blackpowder only stamped on them. And what was G. U.????
It wasn't until I ran across this post that I knew what they were. Thanks to all the knowledgeable folks here for Identifying this set.
