Hi, everyone; flexible here.
Setting up my dies for the new rifle; a 7mm PRC. Started measuring the once fired Hornady brass for the sizing die bushings and can't believe the slew of numbers I got.
Used a ball mike and got numbers from 0.0168 to 0.0196.
To compare I miked the Lapua 220 Russian I had fireformed to 6mm PPC - 5 cases all 0.0084.
Is this unusual?
thanks

You have observed why people buy lapua and others resort to neck turning.

I'm fairly new to rifle reloading and this was a real eye-opener! Supposedly the ADG wait list for 7mm PRC is starting soon. I wonder when Lapua will start production.

There are several premium manufacturers. I'd drop coin on alphas, Peterson, adg, lapua, and in some cases Norma. With 7.7 Norma is my best option.

Interesting. I've checked wall thickness on a lot of Hornady brass and have found it to be better than Norma and certainly better than Win or Fed. It's my go-to for long-range varmint hunting.

I do find that I anneal Hornady quicker than Lapua.
