I have a Hornady case trimmer but no neck turner, so I bought one from Lyman, threw cabelas. My problem is when I opened it up the first thing on the instructions said its to be used with a Lyman case trimmer:what:. I need a neck turner but I think its ridiculous to buy a rcbs or a hornady neck turner for over $50 and pay almost $10 for each mandrel. Should I sell my hornady case trimmer and get a buy the Lyman, so that it will work with the neck turner I just received or, is their a better solution I don't know about

Thank you

I don't know if the Lyman tool threads are the same as Hornady's shaft threads or not. Did you try it for a fit? If so, use it as is. If not, well....?

get the hornady neck turner, i love mine and the mic is handy. imho its beter when one tool does not depend on the other. if you get the lyman and the trimmer breaks then you have to buy another lyman trimmer or all your turner gear would be useless. besides with the hornady turner you don't need a different mandrel for ever caliber just one for every diamiter of bullet used (unless thats what you ment).

Forster for most all needs. Hand neck turners (K&M) if you want to the nearest .0001
