Need some help here, folks! Someone point me in the right direction, or let me know if you have any for sale.

I need the bottom metal (trigger guard, and hinged floorplate) for a Winchester Model 70 long action. (NOT Magnum). A friend of mine has been trying to find some with no success.

If you happen to have any, or know where to get some, let me know! Thanks!

Check out Brownell's or Numrich Arms. They should have what you need or they should be able to get you started. Good Luck. BTW the Model 70 is a fine rifle. I have one in 270.

You might try Bobs at www.gun-parts.com, but Brownells is out of Win 70 parts. The Sunny Hill and Blackburn replacements are expensive because they are an improved design and tough to produce. A lot of the late model factory Model 70 bottom "metal" was plastic, and badly tooled plastic at that.

There are a some long shot replacement possibilities: FNH is said to still be manufacturing model 70-pattern actions in its Patrol series. Also, you might check the size of the bottom metal on each of the Kimber 8400 and the Montana 1999.
