Hi everybody. I've been browsing THR for awhile now and everyone seemed so helpful and nice I decided to join. I have been reloading for a long time on a rock chucker. Since I convinced my wife to get her CCW and start shooting I can't keep up with the ammo demand, So I purchased a LnLAP. My question is, what is the die and powder drop arrangement when using a powder thru expander and also an RCBS lockout die and Lee factory crinp die. I will be loading .45ACP and also 9MM Luger.

You mean what order to put the dies in?

1. Decap/resize die(prime on the upstroke)
2. Expander die (charge case)
3. Lockout die
4. Bullet Seating die
5. FCD

I do the same as kludge also, but I use a regular taper crimp die instead of the FCD.
Unflappable

Hornady sells a expander sleeve that goes inside the powder measure shaft. It would eliminate the need for the Powder expander die, they're around $8. You could then install a Hornady Powder COP die or is that what the RCBS Lockout die is?

Have fun the LNL is an awesome press!

In the setup as described, the "Powder Through Expander" goes in station #2 inside the powder drop, hence the note in parentheses (charge case). The RCBS Lock-out die is similar to the Powder Cop. It locks up the press if the powder charge is too little or too much. Saved my butt a few times.

Thanks

Thanks everyone. That is what I thought. But it always nice to have opinions from more experienced people.
