So I think I have it narrowed down to a Ruger MKIII or a Beretta u22 Neos, but I'm still open to other options, possibly a double action revolver. What I'd like is simply a reliable 22 that can shoot the walmart bulk pack 22lr ammo. The cheaper the better, but I'll spend what it costs to get a good reliable pistol.

S&W still makes a nice .22 revolver. They are fairly expensive, but very well made. For a good bit less money you might consider a Taurus. I have a Tracker and it shoots great.

I have a Neos w/ 6" barrel that I really like. Hasn't had any problems with ammo so far, or any other function related issues. Taking it out this weekend hopefull for some decent accuracy testing now I have a rest.

The price is certainly right, I think I paid $220 for mine, but you definitely want to hold it first, the grip isn't for everybody.

I am going to buy a browning buckmark and install some sort of scope on it (red dot, holographic) that's yet to be decided. I do have a name for the pistol already-The bunnychaser.

I'm going to go with a Ruger target model when I pick up another .22lr, but the Beretta is a really good pistol, too, as is the Walther P22. The main reason I'm buying the Ruger is that it's for my wife and that's what she wants. I really like my CZ75B with a Kadet Kit conversion, too.

Biggest plus for the Neos is you can get spare mags from CDNN for $10 each! Biggest minus of the Neos is the safety rotates the wrong way.

Biggest negative of the Ruger is the take down and reassembly procedure.

Our Neos is way more reliable with the cheap bulk pack ammo than are any of my five Rugers.
