Help me spend some money

Going to a rifle training class over the weekend and there is a gun shop at the same range. I thought about checking out the shop and splurging on a new firearm, it's been well over a year since I've gotten a new toy and thought if I find something I might like I'll consider purchasing it. Got any advice? Here is what I currently own:

-Remington 870
-Marlin 980S (bolt .22LR)
-Mosin Nagant 91/30
-AR-15
-Ruger MKIII 22/45 Hunter
-Springfield XDm (9mm)
-Springfield Loaded 1911

I've always wondered about an AK-47. But then I thought that I already have a "battle" rifle and it's another caliber that I need to buy. Plus I wouldn't have any real use for it other than it being a fun gun. I always thought about picking up a Remington 700, but I can only really use it for target shooting, I live in the terrible state of Illinois so I can't really hunt deer with it. One of my friends has an SW M&P and I really loved shooting it so another 9mm is always an option. Since I can't conceal carry in this state I've never gotten a compact or sub-compact pistol. So I guess here's a list of things I'll consider, provided the shop has it:

-rifled barrel for 870 (currently shoot deer with smooth-bore and rifled choke)
-revolver in .357 (I think it would be challenging to hunt deer with a revolver, traded one I used to have for money towards my 1911)
-revolver in .22LR (I think I would love a Ruger Single Six )
-a .22LR upper for my AR
-Possibly a SW M&P or maybe Glock (never shot a Glock)

I'm open to suggestions and comments as well! Oh and I don't really have a budget thought out for this, obviously nothing outrageous like over $650. I guess I'm leaning towards a revolver since I kind of miss the one I used to have, and I can try to take a deer with it later this year.

In all seriousness, you'll probably have the most (and cheapest) fun with the Single-Six or .22lr AR upper. Both are awesome.

A Saiga in ak platform is a nice gun. About $234 for 1k rounds.

A 357 is a hoot to shoot and $168 500rounds of 38sp

A 1911 is nice. Just get a good one and not something like RIA

Have you looked into other military type arms? FNH, P90, cetme, etc can be good fun.

Sks are nice. Mosin is ok but not really "fun" like an aka sks or battle rifle

What about a siaga in 223? just a thought no different ammo problems then. I even think you can have the mag well changed so it takes ar magazines but I would look that up.
Also the vepr have one in 223 but that is a little over your price range.
I am not seeing a pistol caliber carbine there maybe a sub2000, I realize they are not for everyone just a thought.

You all have very good points! I guess it's going to come down to what they all have available. I would love the idea of having a .22 upper on my AR, or just having a little Single Six. I've been eyeing those online for years. Plus I don't think a .22 revolver would break the bank too bad.

I never thought of looking into an AK variant chambered for .223/5.56. That would definitely eliminate the ammo problem. Not sure how big the store is but if they have a section for AKs I'm sure most of them will be of the 47/74 ammo types. Not sure how common a .223 Siaga is.

I hesitate to give you a recommendation on what to buy because I'm not sure where your interests lie. You've got a pretty good setup already, and, were I in your position, about the only thing I'd consider buying gun-wise would be a decent semi-auto shotgun, but those will run more than your budget.

If you're dead set on spending $650, look into either getting decent accessories (slings, holsters, spare magazines) or buy a reloading press. Most of the other guns you've listed would just be redundant additions to your collection.

CZ 912 would fit the budget and have pretty good reviews. Haven't known CZ to put out much junk.

I'd opt for either the AR .22 upper or the .22 revolver. Cheap, fun and gives the ability to practice the fundamentals needed with the more spendy stuff.

Go for a 22, i have had alot of different calibers over the years but i still come back to basic fun gun. they are cheap to feed and you will end up with more than one so its not a bad thing. i have four rifles and four handguns and another handgun is comming as soon as i make my mind up on which one i really want the most. 5000 rounds of ammo for 179 to 250 dollarss now that just cheap fun and entertainment.

Good choice -- the rifled barrel will be a definte improvement, as will a low-power scope of you don't have one.

I wouldn't advise you not to buy a .357, but for deer I'd choose a .44 Mag or ,45 Colt.

I find it appalling that you do not have a 357 in your line-up and are seriously considering something else!!

Yeah something like that, lol, I would go with some kind of a revolver just to add variety to your stable. If you are a reloader or plan to be, you will really appreciate the 357.

Since you do hunt I guess the only option for a new gun other than fun is your hunting. The question is then do you NEED a new hunting gun or are you simply looking for a new range toy?

If you're after more of a range toy then I would suggest that with what you have already it's time to look into one of the action shooting competitions to add some spice to your shooting time. We can only stand still and perforate paper for so long before we either become bored with the whole thing or we decide it's time to step it up and move to some form of "Run 'n Gun". You want to look around and see what sort of handgun or other competitions are being held by the clubs in your area.

Or if you're simply too shy to appear in public then I suggest you buy a .44 Mag and load some rounds of 200gn cast or jacketed in front of some max power measures of 2400. The recoil and flash from the muzzle will do much to make you giggle like a schoolgirl for weeks to come...

If I were you I would buy a browning buckmark pistol, or ruger mkIII 22lr. This pistols are equally reliable and accurate and only personal preference comes into play. Twenty-two pistols are a lot of fun to shoot and a great way to practice drills, weak hand shooting, and just plain plinking without breaking the bank. Plus it gives you the advantage of shooting 500 times if you buy bulk ammo for under $20.
