Hi Guys -

Ok, we have a new rifle bullet that needs naming. Thanks to all of you who made the helpful suggestions for getting our .38 158 grain 18 BHN rifle bullet tagged as "#1 Ranger". That was great fun!

Same rules apply - whomever comes up with the name that I like best gets a box of that bullet - or (in an expansion of the rules!) - a box of any other bullet we make, shipped immediately and with our gratitude.

The bullet is a .38-55 rifle bullet, 246 grain RNFP, bevel base. We prefix all rifle bullet products with a numeral, such as the #1 Whitetail, #2 Whitetail, #1 Buffalo, etc. So, this would be the #1 NewWhateverBullet.

Grafs wants a batch of these as soon as we get them labeled up, so time is of the essence. I would like to have some good names to pick from by, say, 1800 Friday (tomorrow.)

Help me out, please?

Thank you!

Brad

I'm a 45-70 shooter here. Good idea on having the users pick a name tho.

The standard bullet weight for .38-55 was 255 grains so a 246 is hardly a long range or extra big game projectile. I like the Black Bear.

#1 Tomahawk
#1 McBullet - right here's the money shot. Who wouldn't want to order their bullets like they order fast food.

38-55 Ballard (after the Charles Ballard, the guy who created the 38-55).

looks like I got beat out by czarjl on ballard.

How 'bout 38-55 target master as it was designed for target shooting.

#1 38-55 Blitz Krieg
