The Beretta 92FS began as an all steel handgun. But later they switched to plastic guide rod.
1) What parts did they switch to plastic besides the guide rod?
2) What year did they make the switch?
3) What are the serial numbers of the ones where the switch was made.
Also, I've heard that there are variations in different models. Can anyone give me a breakdown of the difference between, say, the FS and the M9? And what other variations are there?
Thanx.
