Need info on Colt Woodsman Sport

I've had some bring nickel pistols before, love'em.

Are you on the Colt forum? I'm sure one of the collectors there might be able to give a faster answer that waiting for a letter.

The Colt forum may help in general, but without a letter from Colt specific to that pistol with th as t serial number, it is impossible to know if it c as me from the factory that way. If it is the real deal, the money spent would be chump change compared to what it would do to the value of the pistol with factory authentication. Without that letter, would you pay the price of a rare Colt if it were possibly a refinished pistol?
