As some have pointed out, it depends on a lot of factors. I have a pretty extensive reloading set up.
5 MEC Progressive Press's for 12,16,20,28 and .410 Shot Gun Shells.
3 "Star" Progressive Presses - .32 S&W Long WC, .38 SPL WC, .45 ACP Semi WC - All set up for one reload only for high volume Bullseye Shooting
1 - Turret Press for all other pistol cartridges, or none WC in .32/.38 and .45
RCBS Rock Chocker for Case Reforming
Dillan 550 for my non-precision rifle cartridges
Combination of Wilson, Harrell's and Foster Coaxial for Bench Rest Rifles.

Single stage press for me came down to a Rock Chucker or Redding Big Boss. I have been using the Big Boss for 8+ years and have been very satisfied with it.

OP is looking for single stage press to load rifle cartridges
single stage ... Rifle, .243, 6.5PRC, .308, and 270. 6.5 would be for my bench rifle, more of these than the rest.

I would like to start loading by the first of the year with 6.5. I have a new rifle to dial in.
While turret/progressive presses could be used as "single stage", not sure if that's what the OP wants.

When I replaced my SS press 5 yrs ago I went with the Redding Big Boss II press. The main reason why was the way it handled the spent primers. They are dispensed through the ram into a waiting bottle. They are also "Made in The USA" so it supports American workers. It's a high quality press ultra smooth with plenty of leverage for sizing the larger cases.
