the guns i buy fall into 2 catagories for me tools and entertainment.

i wouldnt buy a wrench to look at or a tv to put in a closet and never turn on.

Zero; nothing more fun than than getting out there and blasting away. I knew a nice gal of modest financial means who was overcome by the romance of the Harley-Davidson motorcycle and bought a brand-spanking-new one. All her clothes and personal possessions had Harley-Davidson logos. However, after she bought the machine, she was overcome by a fear of actually riding it. It sat in her garage for five years before she sold it.

I see a motorcycle and I want to ride it. I see a firearm and want to shoot it. If a friend said to me he wanted to go to the range and shoot his Lorcin or RG Revolver I would go along just for kicks.

Z E R O ! the only time i ever will, is the time it takes me to get the gun home, cleaned, and to the woods to try it out. a gun in a box, is simply a peice of steel screaming for some attention!

2 handguns and 2 rifles but it's only a matter of time. I don't own anything purely to collect.

I have a Rem. 1858 Pietta in Stainless I've never fired. It's not new. Have a BP rifle I rebuilt and have never fired. It's not quite "right." -- Just barely beyond a "wall hanger."

BP revolver on the coffee table, CVA Wells Fargo. $20, I turned over the trigger spring and now it works.

Spanish "Phil. Derringer" in 45 cal. I think.

Couple Uzis in the back of the safe I've fired like one time.

I have a fair number of guns that get shot once or twice and then go in the safe . . . I don't shoot like I used to. Has to do with range access and some other stuff, like a dog who doesn't like gunfire or staying home alone.

some :)

i put back a number of AR15 (complete and stripped lowers) and the like for future use (like, distant future). They're sort of "parts guns" for me, even though they're NIB. no real point in firing them yet since the economy could crater and they're somewhat more valuable unfired.

also, i have some that i intend to shoot in '09 but am waiting on glass or waiting on funds for glass. patience...

I've got three:

1. 100+ year old Iver Johnson .38S&W that belonged to my Dad. This one will probably never be fired again.

2. Mossberg Plinkster .22. Had this one about a year and it'll get fired if I can ever remember to take it with me when I go to the outdoor range.

3. S&W Sigma. Just bought it yesterday, hope to get it to the range tomorrow.

I have one but thats because I just picked it up saturday. Im hoping that changes tommorrow.

I had a complete upper that I hadn't fired in 6.8spc. I had for a year or so and finally traded it off to somebody who would use it. Oh yeah so now none. I went and shot the heck out of the upper that traded for this weekend. It was nice Knowing as burned through a 30 round mag that it only cost about $9 as compared to $30 the 6.8 would have been.

How many guns do you own that have never been fired ???

4 I believe. Thats fired by me because most have been test fired by the manufacturer

I have one... A Remington 870 Marine Magnum. I bought it new about 8 years ago. Guess I've always had something more fun to shoot when heading out (rifles or pistols).

Two. The first a Remington 870 12ga. Got it home from the store, took it out of the box, stuck it in the closet, and never went turkey hunting with it. Ten years + I've "owned" this gun, and never fired it. :scrutiny:

The second, a slide action, takedown, .22 Stevens. Needs work and a new stock. Barrel wiggles in the receiver. Something else breaks down and the money goes elsewhere. :(
