Never liked CZ's and then this happened

Kidneyboy :

When I first saw that Bright Blue grip (small iphone image) I actually thought for a second that it was a Giant Blue Insect in the Amazon Jungle. I looked for the insect’s wings. Not kidding.

It’s interesting that you partly ‘defected’ from a Glock. Most people with them seem to never consider a possible substitute, including my gun guru.

The CZ PCR has the best ergos of my four 9mm handguns (ie Sig P225, Walther P99, S&W 908).

Upon thoughtful reflection , the blue now seems a lot more attractive than normal black grips.

I picked up the CZ Shadow Blue SAO a few months back. They are really nice. Not sure how you could have not liked them beforehand???
I had a couple of CZ's over the years and the ones I had beat the heck out of the inside of my trigger finger. My hands have changes since retiring from stonecarving/stonemasonry.
On the other hand I used to like how a G19 fit my hand, and now not so much.
Ok, that's frikkin funny......

I’m still waiting.

Once in awhile a PCR or SP-01 does get me looking a little closer.
handle a P07, I can carry that in shorts in the summer time. Very positive decocker, and the slide is grippy enough. but, that is a downfall of the CZ75 design, not much slide surface to rack.

For a long time, I wondered what all the fuss about CZ was about. Then I shot one . . . . Now I get it.
I recently bought a clone CZ75 design. A EAA all metal 10mm, and they don’t feel the same as a CZ. Fit and finish was not as good. trigger is good

Got one a couple of years ago for Christmas. Really loved the overall ergonomics and the solid heft of the gun. The grip angle was great; sort of reminded me of a Colt Commander in it's shape and height. I also liked that I could replace the decocker with a thumb safety with very easy to follow directions.

I turned my P07 with a mcarbo polishing and spring kit. makes the trigger feel much nicer. $20 too

Ain't that the truth. I had bought a CZ-75-B Omega "Convertable" a few months ago.

I liked it so much I went back and bought a 75-D PCR to have a carry gun like it.

While I was waiting on the background check to come back, I saw this one in the case, threw out an offer and somewhat to my surprise, they took it. CZ-82, 9X18.

So far I've been resisting those ones with the blue and orange grip panels. I'm afraid to ask to even hold one.

And I'm supposed to be a revolver guy. :what:

Good advice to yourself. Be very, very careful you don’t shoot one. My other CZ’s don’t see much use now.

It's funny, but as much as I like the bigger CZ's, I really like that little CZ-82. I haven't fired this particular one, but I had one some years ago that was a shooting little trick. It was just lights out with Wolf ammo, back when Wolf ammo was cheap. I eventually sold it off when some other bright shiny thing caught my eye, and I don't think I was back home before I was kicking myself.

I dug around in my "Box O Holsters" and found a no name IWB leather holster that fits it like it was made for it. Much better than it does the Kimber Micro 9 it was sold as being for. I've got a couple hundred rounds of 9x18 split between Norma (FMJ) and Silver Bear (JHP) that I need to get to the range to see if it works as well as the other one did.

I told the guys at the gun shop that this is the last firearm I'm buying. They laughed at me.

ETA - I have been trying to thin the herd to only a few guns. I went in looking for a High capacity, hammer fired 45. Theoretically that would be the last gun.
Yesterday I picked up a FNX 45 Tactical to fill this gap. When I fix the camera situation here another thread will be started.

A PO-1 had at least 10,000 rds. through it when I was told that I needed something larger than a .380–my commercial Russian Makarov.

The former Memphis native/owner who now is an Israeli security agent (has a YT channel in Israel) sold me that used CZ for a really low price.

Excellent gun- as reliable as my much newer PCR.
