1917, all matching except mag and drum( which wouldn't match anyway)
Now to find a stock for fun at 100 yards

Excellent.
I almost bought this longer version of luger last week but the magz with it were is very poor shape. So passed. Would love buy one in food condition some day.

my grandfather had a long barrel luger like that with the snail drum magazine. his also had a flip up sight and a detachable butt stock.

Has the flip sight, 800 yards or something for a 9? It should be fum at 100. I plan to get a stock. It won't be matching # but I am a shooter not collecting

Thought it was going to be a Glock with the G18 mag. Nice Luger!
If I knew some years ago what I know now, I woulda, coulda, shoulda had several of those Navy and Artillery models. Damn 20-20 hindsight!

:uhoh:

Uh... I could be wrong here (it's been known to happen) - but wouldn't that come under the heading of....Illegal!

Based on the info supplied below - I stand corrected.

I believe the ATF has an exemption for original luger pistols (and a few other early pistols) and the wooden storage box that doubled as a buttstock. Kinda like the exemption for the M1 carbines have barrels slightly under the 16" rule.

Nice Luger, OP.

Kinda like the exemption for the M1 carbines have barrels slightly under the 16" rule.

While there is an exemption for original Lugers, Mauser Broomhandles, and Inglis High Powers, there is no such exemption for M1 Carbines. Further, the standard M1 Carbine barrel length is 18", not 16".

Ooops, I thought the original M1 carbine barrel was something like 15", unless I'm thinking of some sort of paratrooper model.
