If you have an eaa witness elite match in 9mm you know that the magazines are...problematic. You might even know that a couple of months back tangfolio started using mecgar magazines in all their new guns and the problems with the 9mm mags have since gone away. You might even know that ordering new mags is $50 for a pair from EAA.

All of which brings me to my point: 2 weeks ago I sent my 3 old mags in to EAA and asked them to replace them under warranty. Today in the mail I received 3 brand new mecgar replacement mags. Total cost: about $3 in shipping. woot!

Well, I'm glad they finally got the Mecgar mag's in stock, for the 9MM's.

I have a 9MM witness I could never a Mag. to work in. I may just give it one more try. Do your new mags have an internal spacer, or do they use some kind of outside spacer? I have a whole pile I'd love to send back to EAA :barf:

no spacers. Kind of a matte finish to the mag and a black follower. Mine are loaded right now trying to set the springs a little. They're very strong.

Also, the base pads do not appear to have been changed, just the mag body, so they will need to be sanded down some. The mags won't seat in the gun right now, just like my old ones refused to do before I got out the sand paper.

I never did get the problems with the witness I had. Ran right at 4000 rounds in bothe 9mm and the 40 cal and never had a problem. They most have had some problems with small units of them. I was told Mecgar allways made them too. Glad you have new low cost mags.
