I'm thinking of getting a new bolt gun. My first choice of caliber would be 7x57 mauser, but I am not aware of any that are in current production, and would really prefer a new one. Can anyone tell me who does build 7x57's today?

I checked Tikka, and Sako. NO luck. Also Browning, Remington, CZ, Ruger, TC. I think Blaser makes them, but that's just a little pricey for me. Maybe I'll just have to get a 6.5x55, I'm sure no critter is gonna notice the difference.

I believe Ruger makes one in the MK11 and the No.1. There are CZs around if you look hard, but CZ is no longer importing them. They were inexpensive and very accurate. Check gunbroker.

I believe the Ruger is no longer manufactured, but of course anything can be found on the Internet. The chamber throat is long on the Ruger 7x57, so you'll want to handload for best accuracy.

The CZ 550 in 7x57 is not brought in through CZ-USA anymore, but you can probably find one new on the Internet.

For a good one, you'll have to get it on the Internet. It's just not a big seller for new manufacture in the US.

I got my Remington 7mm x 57mm Mauser Mod 700 Mnt rifle in 1992 new.
I have also seen Rugers.

rangerruck,

Ruger used to make them. I don't think they have in a few years. They should certainly be available on one of the sites like Gunamerica, though.

Ruger does show the No.1 in 7x57. I found a Winchester XTR Featherweight on Guntrader and have submitted a bid.
