I would like to pick up a 870 Police Mag next month but I have been reading from this forum and others that Remington has let their QC go down hill, even with the Police mags. I read people had problems with theirs before they even shot them. Like parts breaking and problems with feeding and cycling. I don't mind paying the somewhat high price for one of these, I just want to know if I can count on it when I want or need to shoot it. So what's the deal. Are they high quality or should I look for something else?

Where exactly did you read this stuff about the 870 Police?:scrutiny:

Odd that you would read that about an 870P, it's the most popular LEO shotgun in the US by a wiiiiide margin.

There were some reports of a particular brand of cheap shells sticking in some Express chambers. I think the reports are exaggerated. I have an 870 Express and it's been flawless. The 870P is an awesome weapon. buy it and don't look back

I have a 7 year old 870P, out of the box it was servicable but if I had to do it over again I would have went with an older Wingmaster hands down.
