I bought a Bersa 380cc for the wife. The gun is misfeeding on a regular basis. Sometimes it's on the third round sometimes the second to last. After 300 rounds niether of us has fired an entire 8 round clip without a jam. We tried three differant brands of ammo. The shells eject all over the place sometimes right next to you sometimes 20 ft from you. I don't know if that matters by HK p-30 will put 15 in a pile.

Two things are important with Bersas. New Bersas must be cleaned carefully before use. There is a wacky preservative they pack the new guns in that causes jams if not cleaned out. Also, they don't like steel-cased ammo for some reason. If necessary, send it back to Bersa, I hear the customer service of the US distributor is pretty good.

I thoroughly cleaned the gun before I used it for the first time and then again after 100 rounds. I'll try a post on bersa talk and see if anyone else had trouble right out of the box like me. Thanks for the input so far.

If you haven"t made it through a magazine without a malfunction in the past 300 rounds, there's a mechanical issue somewhere. My Bersa (though a UC9) has seen around 4 times that without a malfunction of any kind. Looks like you'll be sending that one in for work. Sorry to hear that. :(

Recently helped a guy at the range "fix" his new gun. Long story short, he didn't lube it well enough.

Make sure it's lubed and if you have more than one magazine, number them, in case only one mag is causing the problems. If you only have one mag, buy another.

Sounds like it needs to go back for some warranty work to me.

I am on my 3rd Bersa through the years, just because I could not bring my guns everytime I moved from country to country.

Cleaning the mag goes a long way. It comes with that preservative gunk that will make the mag spring drag.

Try that and please let us know.

cleaned the only factory mag I have, cleaned and lubed the gun again, no change. I think it's the ammo! I bought 500 rounds of LILLIER & BELLOT and as I said before, I have jet to shoot a mag full without multiple failures to feed/eject. I shot 50 rounds of FIOCCHI without a problem and 8 rounds of my self defence +p jhp without a jam. I guess I'll be selling the L&B and trying to find another brand (somewhere ! )

Sellier & Bellot is generally considered quality ammunition, but there's always the possibility that there's something about the ammo that your Bersa just doesn't like.

Personally, I would try to track down the issue and have it addressed (such as some work needed on the feed ramp, etc), especially if the pistol was is expected to serve a defensive role.

I think Bersa would find and resolve the issue if it were sent to them for inspection.
