I have been using 115 gr Rainier TCJ-RN through a CZ75B & Kahr P9. I've been pleased with them...consistent, accurate, no feeding problems. My load has been 5.2 & 5.3 gr Unique, OAL of 1.147 averaging about 1075 fps. I'm almost ready to buy some more bullets. I was thinking of trying Montana Gold to use something other than a plated bullet. I have a local dealer who stocks them. My question is what are the opinions of those of you familiar with MG about any differences I might see between them and the Rainiers and how the loading may change. Of course, I'll work up to a satisfactory load but any suggestions as to where I might start would be appreciated. I would also like your opinions of choosing either the FMJ or CMJ in the MG's. I think I'm going to stay with 115 gr. Thanks.

THe CMJ is basically the same as the fmj except they slap a plate into the gap in the back. These arent plated like Rainer so they need to cover the hole the lead was poured into somehow. Try both. See if you have a lead or smoke problem with the FMJs.

MG's are used extensively by USPSA shooters. They are very good bullets at a good price. I have shot about 6-7K through my current gun with very good results.
