I see one in my future
I'm surprised to NOT see, post, after post, after post of weeping, moaning and gnashing of teeth, decrying Colt for even daring to come back with a revolver that wasn't just like "the good old days" and for the same price they could have been purchased back then.
I'm a Smith and Wesson guy, but I could see one of the new Colt's in my future.
What would it have cost them to ventilate the top rib in the mode of a Python or Diamondback?
Probably would dramatically increase the number of guns sold.
Me to.I'm a Smith and Wesson guy, but I could see one of the new Colt's in my future.
I'll watch for that and I know what your talking about. But I need a change. I'm not enamored with what I'm range shooting now. It's ok! It just doesn't send me..seems to be a "pinch point" for a knuckle when shooting legitimate magnum loads.
Give it time. We should bitch that they reused the name too. No "New Colt Snake Gun" thread is complete without that part also.I'm surprised to NOT see, post, after post, after post of weeping, moaning and gnashing of teeth, decrying Colt for even daring to come back with a revolver that wasn't just like "the good old days" and for the same price they could have been purchased back then.
I like to think that Colt management has wizened up and I think they are doing it right. First they bring out a snubby for the CCW market to test the waters so to speak. Sales warrant a couple more models in the same genre. Having success with that they now introduce a target model.
Has to have the S&W boys left fondling their locks ( Think of captain Queeg and his ball bearings in the Caine Mutiny except nobody wants their strawberries).
As for me I always preferred Colt's anyway, their cylinders rotate in the right direction and no Hillary hole equals "Happy days"
Like others here, the trigger guard gives me a concern, especially with the wood grips......seems to be a "pinch point" for a knuckle when shooting legitimate magnum loads. The rubber grips on the earlier model did not leave that "pinch point".
