New CZ dropped.

Am I the only one here who thinks adding a rail ruins the lines (and spoils the looks) of an otherwise classic CZ-75?

For me, nope I prefer it.

The only CZ that looks better rail less is the pcr. It's a combination of the slide serrations and the cuts on the dust cover. That is a classy looking gun.

If I didn't have a P01 at CGW getting cut for a RMR right now I'd probably be buying this.

Heck I still probably will, I have about as much will power as Marky Mark has around hi points.

I know some guys who wished it was something like this.

I agree on the classic look of the PCR. If life hadn't gotten in the way I'd still have one.

Too heavy for me to consider it a compact. More of a mid-size gun. I’m really conscious of weight for things I carry all day. My EDC Benchmade Bugout Mini is 1.8 oz.

I like the Shadow 2, but I don't see the logic of a carry-sized competition gun.....

The regular S2 is too heavy for IDPA and doesn't meet some specifications for European competitions.

I believe this gun's main purpose was for international sales.

We surfs in America were the last to get S2 and the last to get the S2 OR the last for TSO and TS2.

I'm an old guy, but I like the looks with the rail better on almost every gun. A P-01 is one of the last guns I will probably be buying.

I like the 75, maybe because this one is my first CZ - just bought it a few weeks ago.

I do like the looks of that new CZ, and even the all metal construction. It looks a handsome pistol, though I wouldn't carry it.
Yeah, kind of where I'm at. Lack for FBP does not bother me as I would not carry it cocked or half-cocked, and it would have the factory firing pin. But I'd sure like to see a decocker. My S2 Orange is a fantastic competition/range gun, and I shoot it at least weekly. So having a scaled down version for EDC is very appealing. Specs are almost identical to my current EDC. I like a heavier gun, they just shoot better for me. I carry all day, every day.
But I was dazzled, the high speed/low drag pro shooter put his support hand index finger on the triggerguard.
Can I resume doing that, without being mocked by my range buddies?
I don't care what folks at the range say, I shoot my guns that way. Works for me. It is good to see a pro doing it though.

Don't really care as well, that was, how you say, sarcasm. ;) But it is funny how things come and go in handgunning; those 'gas pedals' will still be on some guns, 20 years from now, even after they have fallen out of favor with the high speed/low drag gang. :) The really ugly, curved front triggerguard of a Glock will perplex people, or maybe be back in fashion.

I have to say, this announcement is very disappointing to me.

I saw sevt-chevelle's thread, and as a huge fan of CZ rifles and handguns, settled in to enjoy what I was expecting to be a few minutes of downright joy. I couldn't wait to click on it to see what all would be revealed about this little mid-size Czech, and what would just be left as a tease -- this should be GOOD! Maybe even worth watching multiple times!

But DAGGGG...NABBIT! What a disappointment this announcement was! I click on it, and what do I see??? Nothing but TWO freakin DUDES yaking for 5 minutes. WHERE is the video with the spokes-model hottie???

Really, sevt-chevelle??? I usually read all your posts and we usually share the same opinions, but I gotta say that I'm very let down by this bait-and-switch. SMH

If it makes you feel better, I bought one a week ago. I really like it.
I've installed a 85 combat trigger, just prefer the shape better and fitted a zero disco. The pretravel in SA is nonexistent.

My only gripe is CZ kinda neutered the fantastic S2 front and rear serrations on the compact.

My P01 is currently at CGW getting milled for a RMR. So I have wait awhile to see how it compares against the P01. Guess i could use my 2 Pcrs or my rare alloy compact with safety.

It's in my opinion, the S2 compact was made for the European competition markets where in such classes the S2 doesn't make weight.

At first I thought you dropped a new pistol. i saw that they introduced something not quite what I considered new. Left me head scratching. I do like my CZ75. It just works so well.
I had a CZ75 years ago. It seems like CZ's have a rep for excellent accuracy...which I enjoyed.

Ask Jerry Miculek is he's okay with that index finger on the triggerguard.
