I just bought a new FN .40 HI-POWER yesturday. This is going to be my primary CCW. I know this will bring up questions of why this and not that. I had a knock off BHP before and it was the best shooting pistol I ever had, but hated the 9mm. I truly love the .45 1911 (from 22 yrs as Infantryman), but the last one I had. I must of put an extra $200 to fix it up to shot Okay. I wanted something that I knew I would love with extra power out of the box. Round placement is a given and not an issue!!
Questions:
1. Why is the upper receiver release so stiff?
2. How can I tell when the pistol was made? I was told 2003, but can't find it on the box or pistol.
3. It is a standard with blank set sights with grooves to paint it white. How is this best done?
4. Any tips?
Thanks!!! Duckster
