New Glock 21 Slimline?

GlockWorld has posted a picture and a few details of the new Glock 21SF. Not much provided, but what there is is here.

Just thought those who hadn't seen it might like a heads-up.

Although something is coming from Glock, I would be very leery about Glockwork(topglock) or whatever other names they go by.

From what i have read legitimate dealers haven't seen a picture/SKU# or pricing, so how is this dealer offering them for sale?

It definitely looks like a photoshop job to me.

A single-stack version of the 21 makes sense, given that the only consistant complaint about the 21 is that the grip is too thick for some hands. Since they already have a single-stack compact (the 36), there is already another model that could use the magazines for this gun.

Since I wasn't cursed with small, rain-like hands, I'll stick with the 21.

There are apparently two Glocks about to be debuted. One is the 21 variant, which has a capacity of 13 rounds in a new, slimmer frame, and the other is a full size version of the G36.

On page 81 of the Jan/Feb American Handgunner Issue there is a picture at the top right of the page of what appears to be a new glock. It seems to be on glock's large frame with a long slide. It has the 1913 rail on the dustcover, what looks like a larger triggerguard and a different shaped backstrap. There was no external manual safety other than the one on the trigger. I don't have the ability to scan the picture, but I wonder if American Handgunner didn't use the wrong picture to soon.

There probably is something coming from Glock at the 2007 Shot Show, we'll just have to wait and see.

Who has the shovel for all the Errornet unicorn droppings? Domestically produced HK 91s, XCRs, ZIGZAER ubercarbines any day now, inter alia, ad naseum, and now skinny Glocks. Sure this wasn't done by the wily Afrikaaners at Robar to gig Glock. Peter, I smell a conspiracy!!!

I called glock this morning to inquire about a G21 Slimline. According to Glock, there is NOT going to be a glock 21 slimline. There will however be a redesigned glock 21 grip that is "slightly thinner than the current g21," she said the shape of the grip will be mildly changed to accomidate users with smaller hands..."it will have a picatinny rail." The CS representative also confrimed that the gun in question will also accept current G21 magazines.

As Boondocksaint stated, it's all over GlockTalk that Glock has stated that a new "slimmer grip" G21 with revised rail will premier at the Shot Show.
I for one would be very interested if Glock would finally listen to millions of cries for a less "2x4-ish" grip. I'd like to compare this side by side with the new XD45 Compact myself. We'll wait and see....

I wonder what kind of volume Glock does with the 20. Even though the company probably sells more 10mm guns than any other manufacturer, I bet the total still represents a small percentage of their total output, and they likely have a lot more parts inventory for the 20 than the 21 or other more common calibers. If they are going to switch to the new slimmer frame, they will most likely wait until they've used up their stock of existing 20 frames.

I NEED TO KNOW!!

I am going to do some horse trading this afternoon and would like to know if anyone has concrete evidence that a slim, full size 45acp glock is coming out!! I have my eyes on a Springer Full sized loaded with the bi-tone metal and would prefer a glock as I already carry a G19 off duty and a G22 on.

Of course not! Never mind that the current ones average .2" thicker and 2oz heavier than their competitors from Springfield, Taurus and Kahr!

And I wonder if any new .45 from them would choke on various sorts of ammo as much as the Glock 36 does? Nah, they'd never, like, FIX that...

I had a chance to try one of these last night, right after fondling an M&P45. I had three thoughts while holding the 21SF (does the SF stand for Slim Fast or Something's Foul?): 1) this feels pretty much the same as the regular 21; 2) the mags are a Diane Feinstein special: proprietary to the weapon and not that hard to cut the import of; and 3) the M&P is going to absolutely kill this thing for anyone who doesn't worship at the altar of Gaston.

Wow, buzz. Tell us how you REALLY feel!

The M&P is NOT in the same class as the Glock or the XD-45. Sales show that clearly. I can think of three or four other better weapons than the S&W IMNTBHO. The Glock 21 is a 2x4 with a slide on top, for sure, but I'd buy it any day of the week over the Smith. In fact, here's how I break down the new double-stacks:

XD-45
USP-45
Glock 21 (SF, I guess, but even with the big grip, the standard 21 is better)
Taurus 24/7 (Yeah, and I own a PT-145 Pro... and love it)
Para Ordnance P14
CZ-97
S&W M&P 45

The 21SF is still too big and blocky. I liked the M&P .45 much better, and 10 rounds of .45 is plenty.

A longer-barreled, longer-grip, higher-capacity G36 variant should be a no-brainer for Glock. But where is it? And why isn't it?

yeah i handeled one and i couldn't tell a difference between the sf and the 21 original, i wasn't impressed. they need to make a glock that is a single stack in that size, for folks with tiny hands like me, and that i would think about buying. probally wouldn't but i would at least think about it.

For me there is a very obvious difference in feel between the two.


I really liked the SF, not enough to buy one just yet though.
