decided to ditch the optics mount from HKParts.net. it still needs some minor grinding out of the bottom rear side. its not a complete flush fit out of the box, which is what it was advertised to be. i have opted for a G&G L.P.M for G3/MP5 Series Low Profile Mount. order placed today, ive heard good reviews.

other than that the weapon runs fine, eats anything you put into it, only about 10-15 hang ups in 800 rounds so far. not bad for a semi auto magazine fed rimfire in my opinion. the front sight post likes to loosen up and become a big wobbly after a good string of shooting, bolt may have to be touched up with loc-tite.

still my new favorite plinker, if you dont have one yet, youre wrong! (or theyre sold out)

I took a friend's out jack rabbit hunting and I now MUST have one. It was lots of fun and given the price of ammo easy for me to justify buying it.

I plan to pick one up as soon as my gun shop has one in.

Mine was out for the second trip on thursday. I put another 200 or so rounds through it . This time no failures at all. This was a mix of old Winchester, new Remington HP 550 rd bulk, and new Winchester HP bulk pack. Between 4-500 rounds through the gun now.

still having a few issues with the front sight post rattling loose during prolonged shooting. LOC-TITE this thing before you lose it out in the woods! also, if you look at the photo on top of the second page of this thread, youll notice the collapsable stock slightly overlaps part of the ejection port cover when in the closed position, this will lead in occasional ejection failures. i shoot mine from the halfway open position to get a better stock-weld and sight picture, but if you have a similar setup you may need to dremel or file that portion down to ensure a more reliable feed. other than the occasional stovepipe im really enjoying this weapon. i know its getting a lot of adverse publicity on some threads, but if you have a chance to acquire one, i strongly recommend it. the company seems to be showing a lot of customer concern by listening to feedback and trying to fix existing issues before the next batch heads over to the dealers shelf. the existing rear 'iron' sight is plastic and kinda flimsy, not a big concern if you plan on mounting optics though...
