I went shopping today, looking for something to use with my newly minted CCW permit.

I was looking at CZs (I like the slide in frame look), and made a comment about liking Novak sights, due to my Thunder Ranch training (operate slide with left hand, grasp over the top. All slide manipulation done this way.) I have a battle scar from my Para-Ord P-14. Cut my left hand on the rear sight.

So, the dealer goes to the back, and comes out with the CZ-75D PDR. I liked the sights, but thought the grip was a little short. (I've got big mitts). Dealer goes into the back again, and brings out the CZ-40b.

This 1911 shooter got a big grin on his face. Felt just like home.

Even better. $329 out the door.

My belt let out an audible sigh of relief. It won't have to support that 4 pound P-14 anymore. :D

You did very well...the 40b is tempting to me in a big way...If it were a 9mm or offered a Sig to match the 40 Id have one....very tempting. Its one of the most accurate outa the box 40's around..nominated for gun of the year by Buns and Glammo....
Its still an honor
I like it because its a full cap 40..alloy frame, commander sized overall, Cond 1 carry..and very comfy. Also good sights..Id like real LowMounts with nights ...very nice.
There is a very clean used on that feels like its got a trigger job..for around 300$ locally.
Enjoy your gun....drop by the CZForum..they have some very cool people and guns hanging around.
Shoot well

Yea, I can't wait to pay off the layaway next month, and go try it out.

I'll have to save up the pennies for a decent holster for it. I've got a Desantis belt scabbard and a 1 3/4" belt on the way for the P-14, so I will have to get a similar holster for the new CZ.

And an IWB.

And a crossdraw.

:D
