Just picked up my used Benelli M1 s90 Tactical today from my local range. It is the closest thing to a high end shotgun I can afford right now with school. I asked the head manager there a couple of questions; Rounds through?: Unknown, How old?: Unknown, How often cleaned?: Never, etc, etc. No one working there seemed to have a clue. So I plunked down all the money I had left 550.00 plus DROS fee.

Got back home and began disassembling and cleaning the whole thing. Took about two hours all together and put everything back in the order it came out. I was thrilled I got it back in one piece on the first try.

So I noticed suddenly that the barrel seemed a little wiggly. It seemed to wiggle side to side. A sign of excessive wear? Or user error(mine). Maybe I missed something. I don’t know if it was there before, because I really wasn’t looking for it. Oh and by the way this is my first firearm of any type and cant wait to get to an outdoor range.

Here’s …………………….something lol. (I don’t know if you’d call it eye candy, maybe more like eye-sore)

So just to recap my questions:

1. Is the only thing hold this barrel to the gun, the threaded magazine end cap?
2. Why is the barrel loose (Do I need to provide more information)?

And any other comments you have are welcome, especially if their honest.

Thanks,
-Mark

Try breaking it down and them reassembling it. That may fix the problem. If it doesn't, repost.
